In Winston-Salem, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in North Carolina, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

My favorite place to buy my flowers, both perennials and annuals. They have a beautiful and interesting selection for a haphazard gardener like me. I buy what I like or intrigues me at the moment. There is little rhyme or reason to it all which is what I like. And this nursery fits the bill. I think the pricing is reasonable too. The sales folk are friendly, kind and helpful. I visit them every spring and fall to scope out what they are offering. I especially look forward to their end of season sales to nab a few extra plants. I highly recommend them.

Stopped by at about 5 of 9. He said give me about 3 minutes which was fine. Then the phone rang and he yelled at one of the clerks not to answer it, they weren't open yet. Bad way to do business.

Been going here for years. Best prices, they have all your standard selections of plants, herbs, trees and also get a lot of rare finds as well. Everything that I get from them thrives. I’ve even had annuals come back year over year. The best customer service too. If I get something rare that I’ve never seen before I ask how to take care of it and they give all the details. I believe they are out of East Bend and it feels good to support a local business over a Walmart or something corporate. Go check them out you won’t be disappointed.
